This is CIW site development foundations module exam. For this exam you must have basic knowledge of using the Internet. This exam does not require any specific product or system-oriented knowledge. In this exam you have to study for Web related work such as creating a Web page, work on HTML etc.
1D0-420 CIW Site Designer
The CIW 1D0-420 exam has been retired. The new version of this exam is CIW v5 Site Designer. It was released on Nov 30 2005. The CIW Foundations exams 1D0-410 or the CIW v5 Foundations exam 1D0-510 is the prerequisite to take 1D0-420 exam. For this you need to have basic understanding of technical and non-technical skills. The exam tests your knowledge of Web site development and designing.
1D0-520 v5 CIW Site Designer
This is a new version of 1D0-420 Site Designer exam. The exam was released on November 30, 2005. The 1D0-420 exam was retired on June 30, 2006. The CIW Foundations exam 1D0-410 or the CIW v5 Foundations exam is required to take 1D0-520 exam. This exam also gives you knowledge for developing and designing Web site. . Knowledge of technical and non-technical skills is required for the exam. The exam contains four sections to test whereas the previous exam 1D0-410 contains only one section to test.
1D0-425 CIW E-commerce Designer
This exam was retired on June 30, 2006. The new version of CIW v5 E- Commerce Designer 1D0-525 exam was released on April 30, 2006. This exam is related to marketing, customer service, promotion, user interaction, purchasing methods and inventory control etc. This exam lays emphasis on technologies related to business-to-business and business-to-consumer commerce model.
1D0-525 CIW V5 E-commerce Designer
This is a new version of 1D0-425 exam and was released on April 30, 2006. Exam 1D0-425 was retired on June 30, 2006. The skills required are same as for 1D0-425. You should have basic understanding of concepts related to marketing, promotion, inventory control, shipping and order information, site performance and testing etc.
1D0-450 CIW Server Administrator
The CIW Foundations exam 1D0-410 is essential to achieve certifications for CIW Professional certification exam, Master CIW Administrator and Master CIW Website Manager. But for Master CIW Server Administrator Professional exam there is no restriction. You need to have minimum technical and non-technical skills and knowledge of Internet technology if you are interested to work as Web Server Administrator.
1D0-460 CIW Internetworking Professional
The CIW Foundations exam 1D0-410 is essential to achieve certifications for CIW Professional certification exam, Master CIW Administrator and Master CIW Website Manager. Passing CIW Foundations exam 1 D0-410 is not essential for Master CIW Server Administrator Professional exam. This exam prepares you to deal with network architecture, identification of infrastructure components, and analysis of network performance.
1D0-470 Security Professional
The pre-requisite exam 1D0-510 is not required for this exam. This exam is required for Master CIW Administrator certification. This exam prepares you to deal with security policy, identifies security threads, and develops countermeasures using firewall systems and attack recognition techniques.

The CIW Foundations exam 1D0-410 is essential to achieve certifications for CIW Professional certification and Master CIW Enterprise developer.
